Elizabeth Chamberlin

Beth Chamberlin lived in Kyoto, Japan for seven and a half years, teaching cross cultural classes at various universities and studying Japanese and Spanish. During vacations she sought the sun and music of such Latin countries as Cuba, Spain, Mexico and Peru. An outstanding salsa dancer, Beth danced at salsa clubs around the world, noting their different styles and boning up on her Spanish.

She loved the Japanese and the Latinos that she met. She was working on her second video when she contracted an illness that caused her to pass away in 2004.

Beth held an MA in Anthropology from San Francisco Institute of Integral
Studies and a BA from Claremont McKenna College in California. Before moving to Japan she taught at St. Giles in San Francisco for several years.
