Purchasing
The best way to order is with a credit card on this web site, using our secure shopping cart. Such orders are normally filled and shipped within three business days if the item purchased is in stock, and within 10 business days if it is not in stock.
Please inspect purchased videocassettes and DVDs immediately upon delivery. All sales are final unless an item is materially defective and is returned within 60 days, in which case it will be exchanged. Please contact us for a return authorization before returning any item.
Institutional Purchase Orders
Institutional purchase orders that are mailed to us are normally filled within seven days of receipt. Orders must include full shipping and billing addresses as well as the name and telephone number of the person authorizing payment.

Prices
All prices on this web site are domestic list prices. They are effective immediately and are subject to change without notice. Video prices are for VHS cassettes in the U.S. (NTSC) standard; other formats may be more expensive.
DVD prices are, unless otherwise indicated, for DVD-R copies. Our DVD-R copies are not region-encoded. They should play without problem on most recent DVD players or computers with built-in DVD players anywhere in the world. However, DVD-R compatibility is not universal nor guaranteed with all DVD players. Please be certain that your DVD player(s) will play DVD-R disks without problem before ordering from us in DVD-R format.
Purchase prices are f.o.b. Berkeley, Calif.; shipping and handling charges will be billed. Appropriate California sales tax will be added if applicable.
Shipping and Handling
Materials are normally shipped via UPS ground. Shipping and handling charges of $12 for the first cassette or DVD and $2 for each additional cassette or DVD are added to each title purchased or rented together. Bulk orders are figured by weight. Inquire for shipping charges outside the USA. A $10 fee will be added to all "Rush" orders. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes.
Videocassettes
Quoted video purchase prices are for VHS cassettes in the U.S. (NTSC) standard; other formats (Beta, U-Matic) or other standards (PAL or SECAM) are more expensive. Please specify format desired when ordering. Video rental prices are for VHS cassettes.
DVDs
DVD prices are, unless otherwise indicated, for DVD-R copies. Our DVD-R copies are not region-encoded. They should play without problem on most recent DVD players or computers with built-in DVD players anywhere in the world. However, DVD-R compatibility is not universal nor guaranteed with all DVD players. Please be certain that your DVD player(s) will play DVD-R disks without problem before ordering from us in DVD-R format.
Rentals
All of our titles are available for rental for $95 each. Rentals are only available in the U.S. and only in VHS format. The rental rate is for three consecutive days' use; one-half this rate is charged for each additional consecutive day's use. See above for shipping and handling charges. All rental orders must be placed directly to our office; they cannot be placed on this web site.
Customers are responsible for return shipping charges on all rentals. All items should be returned via UPS, DHL, or another trackable carrier so that they can be tracked and are automatically insured. We cannot provide rentals outside the United States. Rental prices may be applied toward purchase prices within 90 days of the rental.
International Sales
All international orders must be placed in writing or via email at info@berkeleymedia.com; they cannot be placed on this web site. Nearly all of the titles in our collection may be purchased outside the U.S. All sales prices quoted on our web site are domestic list prices in U.S. dollars. Video prices are for NTSC standard only; PAL or SECAM prices are higher. Payment in U.S. dollars is required in advance of export shipment. International shipments are by air and shipping charges are paid by the customer. We regret that we cannot provide preview or rental copies outside the U.S.
Discounts on Additional Copies
Please note our special $75 backup policy on VHS cassettes or DVDs, which enables you to purchase additional copies of any title you have previously purchased at list price from us for only $75 each.
Educational Exchange Privilege
Berkeley Media LLC backs the educational usefulness of its titles with a one-year guarantee. Any title that does not fulfill its curriculum requirements may be exchanged within one year for a copy of another title with the same list price and in the same condition as the one returned. Copies returned for exchange must be in resalable condition and shipped to us prepaid and insured for their full list price.
Copyright Restrictions
All titles distributed by Berkeley Media LLC are protected by international copyright law. No DVD or video in our catalog may in any way be duplicated, altered, broadcast, electronically transmitted, digitized, edited, or shown where an admission fee is charged without our prior written permission. Violation of copyright laws is a federal crime. It is also unethical.

Television Rights
Television rights for showing on any kind of cable, commercial, or educational television system are not included with the sale, rental, or lease of any title listed in our catalog. Many titles can be cleared for television use, however, with our prior written approval. Please contact us for information on broadcast licensing rates.
